On March 7th, 2020 at 6 pm, Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy will hold its second annual spring gala, FIAT LUX.  This Latin phrase comes from the first verses in the Bible. The book of Genesis begins: “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth … And God said, ‘Let there be light’: and there was light.” Fiat Lux would literally be translated as “let light be made”. God’s tremendous creating power is one of the hallmarks to understanding His nature. And since we are made in His image, we also define Fiat Lux by what we create in this world. We who have the imprint of Christ on our lives are the light-bearers. With this event, we hope to create an evening that honors the nature of our sovereign King and thus echo creation which proclaims “Fiat Lux”.
