Thank you for your interest in Jonathan Edwards Classical Academy. The selection and make-up of the school’s student body are second only to staff selection in the impact it has on the school’s mission. JECA welcomes families who long for a truly God-centered, God-promoting education to apply. Classical Education aims to address the whole of each child, seeking to make them complete in Christ. JECA seeks to offer a rigorous and joyful education in an atmosphere that is orderly, restful, and beautiful.
Applying at JECA
Our Admissions process is broken down into four steps:
STEP ONE: GET TO KNOW JECA
Click here to schedule a visit to our school, meet faculty and staff, and observe classroom instruction. Most initial tours take about 1-1/2 hours.
STEP TWO: PRAY & APPLY
If you believe God is calling you to partner with JECA after a tour and meeting with the Headmaster, we will send you a link to an online application. The application is meant to be thorough and includes applicant and family information, a Pastor Recommendation Form, a Teacher Recommendation From, submission of Report Cards (or copies of “best work” if home-schooled), and payment of the Application Fee.
STEP THREE: SHADOW DAY & ENTRANCE ASSESSMENT
Students are encouraged to attend a Shadow Day at JECA for a half-day or full-day of class. Visiting students will meet teachers, get a feel for a typical day, and make new friends. Our Director of Admissions will contact you to schedule those dates. Long-distance and summer applicants may be exempted from Shadow Days as necessary.
STEP FOUR: ACCEPTANCE AND REGISTRATION
You will be notified by mail and email once our Admissions Committee makes a determination concerning your application. Upon acceptance, you will register with FACTS Management Company, our tuition and billing service provider. If you are interested in applying for Tuition Assistance, plan to discuss your options with the Headmaster during your tour and interview.
